Introduction
PERHAPS the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favor; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason.
As a long and violent abuse of power is generally the means of calling the right of it in question, (and in matters too which might never have been thought of, had not the sufferers been aggravated into the inquiry,) and as the government and media hath undertaken in its own right, to support a process that is not Constitutional, and as the good people of this country are grievously oppressed by the combination, they have an undoubted privilege to inquire into the pretensions of both, and equally to reject the usurpations of either.
In the following sheets, the author hath studiously avoided everything which is personal among ourselves. Compliments as well as censure to individuals make no part thereof. The wise and the worthy need not the triumph of a pamphlet; and those whose sentiments are injudicious or unfriendly, will cease of themselves, unless too much pains is bestowed upon their conversion.
The cause of America is, in a great measure, the cause of all mankind. Many circumstances have, and will arise, which are not local, but universal, and through which the principles of all lovers of mankind are affected, and in the event of which, their affections are interested. The laying a country desolate with fire and sword, declaring war against the natural rights of all mankind, and extirpating the defenders thereof from the face of the earth, is the concern of every man to whom nature hath given the power of feeling; of which class, regardless of party censure, is

The History of our Current State of Affairs
THE history leading to our current dilemma is long and filled with mistakes and errors of judgment. That is why any amendment to the Constitution must be looked at very carefully for unintended consequences.
I wonder about the 17th Amendment which took away from the States the authority to elect senators. Here is the original Constitutional text:
Article I, Section 3 - "The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature, thereof for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote."
The original purpose of creating two Houses of Congress, The House of Representatives and The Senate, was to allow for a check and balance in legislating and to provide for representation of the people, (House), AND the individual states, (Senate).
The appointment by State Legislatures of Senators insured accountability for the six year term. If a Senator was determined to be negligent in his duties to the State or not accomplishing his job, he could then be removed during his term and replaced by the State. The only remaining provision of the original authority of the State concerning Senators is if a Senator cannot complete his term then the Governor of that State will appoint a replacement who serves until the next election.
This one Amendment has removed the influence of individual States in Federal governing and has allowed for Senators to, rather than represent their individual States as was the intent of the Framers, become independent and accountable to no one.
I am also convinced that the start of our problems occurred with the passage of the 16th Amendment. Almost all the usurpations of power have occurred by Congress in abusing its powers of taxation and by abusing the commerce clause.
And I will not spend much time on the history of how we got into the shape we are currently in. Suffice it to say, we are in trouble and the time has come to right the ship of state.
Our Current Crisis
NO ONE can deny that we are in dire danger of losing the freedoms given us by God and enumerated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It’s as if a small harmless dog, feed over many years, grows up to be a vicious, large and ravenous beast. We have feed this beast for far too long and it has grown far too large.
What does the Constitution say is the responsibility of the federal government? The Federal Government was designed by our founders only as a central authority with limited power whose main responsibility was to protect the nation by providing for its defense, institute a nationally regulated form of law and justice so that every citizen would be allowed the same rights and privileges throughout the land, establish commerce between states and foreign nations and also establish diplomatic relations, commerce, trade and treaties with foreign powers.
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people" Tenth Amendment
So it would appear that the federal government is severely limited in its Constitutional authority, taxation of the people and the so call “commerce clause” notwithstanding. The main power of government should reside with the people and the states.
The Federal Government was formed only to guard and secure our freedoms not to legislate, tax and regulate the people into dependents and, in a very real sense, slaves of the government.
I find nowhere in the Constitution a provision for the Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the Department of Labor, the Department of Agriculture, the Treasury Department, the EPA, etc.
Who made these organizations and why? Did we not get along without them for some time? Of course and we can get along without them again.
The vision of our founders concerning the Federal Government have been forgotten in the unconstitutional over reaching and over taxing government that now controls this nation. Its power is limitless, and its influence and intrusion into our lives has begun to undermine the principles on which this nation was founded. It must be stopped now.

Funny thing about social Security: I thought we paid for that. Why is it shown as an expenditure?
Thoughts on the Future of America
THE future of this great nation is imperiled as it has not been since the revolutionary war. Slowly, ever so slowly, our freedoms have evaporated into the air of a slow motion tyranny. As Americans this was the only way to conquer us—so slowly that most of us accepted a “small” encroachment here and a “small” encroachment there, as necessary to satisfy the ever increasing hunger of the statist.
The Statists, assisted by a corrupt news media, simply yelled louder and longer than the patriots until we gave in to their little demands just to quiet them. But the quiet didn’t last but went on and on until now we find ourselves unable to control the education of our children, unable to control when and where to express our religious beliefs, what weapon we can or cannot own, what health care we will buy, what we can and cannot eat along with a myriad of other infringements that would have enraged our fathers.
Take for an example the 2nd Amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Let’s look at this; the right of the people, that’s us, to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Does this amendment say what type of arms we are “allowed” to have? Does it not say we have a right to keep AND BEAR arms? Does it say anything about a permit? And what does infringe mean? (Act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on.)
As I read it, the 2nd Amendment says I can own and carry any weapon I want anywhere I want. ANY law that infringes, places a limit, on the second Amendment is unconstitutional.
Mr. Tench Coxe said it far more eloquently than I. He stated: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords and every terrible implement of the soldier are the birthright of Americans. The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments but where, I trust in God, it will always remain, in the hands of the people. "
And how about the 1st amendment? “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion:’ where does it say separation of Church and state? Do you see any restrictions in this amendment on free speech? Where did they get “hate speech and is it not protected speech?”
Further thoughts: The debt that this nation has incurred is an abomination and is not conductive to freedom and runs contrary to the Constitution. Taxation will only increase until we are slaves without even knowing it. And the separation of powers as represented by the House, Senate, President and our Court system has broken down and formed into a union that is not only unable to govern but almost by design, is unable to adhere to the Constitution.
As parents, we can have no joy, knowing that this government is not sufficiently lasting to ensure any thing which we may bequeath to posterity: And by a plain method of argument, as we are running the next generation into debt, we ought to do the work of it, otherwise we use them meanly and pitifully. In order to discover the line of our duty rightly, we should take our children in our hand, and fix our station a few years farther into life; that eminence will present a prospect, which a few present fears and prejudices conceal from our sight.
Thomas Paine
Neither the soap box nor the ballot box, because of voter fraud and illegal immigration, has worked and the fourth estate is not only dead but an active enemy of freedom. There is no longer an effective way for the people to seek the redress of grievances because the current two party system has morphed into a single entity where elites pick our candidates and we are left with only the illusion of choice.
I’m afraid I see only one future for America and it’s a bright and shinning one. But the path to get from this America to the new one will be covered in blood. We have allowed too many of our freedoms to pass into the hands of a few and they will not give up this power easily.
Only open civil disobedience, prayerfully not a revolution, can save these United States, there is no longer any other option.

Miscellaneous Reflections
GIVEN that the status quo is no longer sufferable what then should our response be? This is where most other publications stop, either from lack of foresight or fear of reprisal from a vengeful government. (Which in and of itself is a sign that we have lost our way)
Look at it this way my fellow Americans; the people are already arming for war. We have been accused of a lot of things but stupidity is not one of them. People see what lies ahead if changes are not made and quickly. Here are a few things we can do:
I would suggest that all unconstitutional “laws” be opposed, obstructed, ignored and ridiculed. And since all politics are local it would seem obvious that opposition should start on a local basis.
Every effort should be directed towards decreasing the influence of the federal government in city, county and state affairs and local residents should forcefully ignore, oppose or drive out of business, individuals or media outlets, which support tyranny.
Jury nullification should become common place, since the real power to fight unjust laws lay with a group of your peers or THE PEOPLE if you wish. It would not matter how a law read if the people simply choose to acquit anyone charged with its violation.
Grand juries composed of the people should be convened with the authority to bring charges against all anti Constitutionalist.
Everyone that has taken an oath to defend the Constitution should be taken aside and reminded of what that means. It should be made plain that anyone unwilling to keep his promise to defend the Constitution should resign whatever position they now inhabit.
And who would do this work you ask? The county sheriff has a duty to protect his constituents from all violations of their constitutional rights. The county sheriff is the highest elected official and in fact, and most of you know this, there are still some people who ONLY recognize the sheriff as having law enforcement powers.
However I would like the sheriffs to consider this: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Let’s look at this; the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed and we have a right to form a “well regulated” militia.
But who will make sure the local militias are well regulated, (well armed), and professionally operated? Who is to organize local militias? Who has the legal authority to appoint a posse, to deputize, and to lead? It is the sheriffs. In the times that come I would ask all sheriffs to be very aware of the fact that there may come a time when they will need the backing of the local people. I would ask that the sheriff take up the task of forming militias, when, in his or her opinion they have no other choice.
Fighting for freedom will be local. It will be imperative that the Sheriff control the militia because the sheriff represents the people and the militias must be accountable to civilian authority. From this militia he will be able to appoint minutemen that can respond quickly and professionally. And if the county militias must fight they can combine into state militias and finally into a new continental army.
The Sheriff would have to assign rank and for a local militia I would not go over the rank of major even if the individual is or was, a general. Colonels and Generals should be in charge of state militias of a commanding officer in the new Continental Army. (2nd Continental Army. tm)
No pressure here, but sheriffs, may very well hold the future of this nation in their hands. Either way something must be done and soon or we will be telling our grandchildren about the time America was still free.
If the local sheriff does not want to be involved then the local militia should be formed by the highest ranking military officer, active or retired, that is available or by the highest ranking elected official.
Civil disobedience may even have to include actions that could be considered national in scope. This could include occupying the “People’s House” in Washington D.C. until such time as a Constitutional government can be reinstituted. Occupying the House of Representatives would be a symbolic gesture but would demonstrate the level of anger in the country.
This undertaking would have to be approached as a semi military operation and much preparation. Logistics-Logistics-Logistics are what our military leaders always say.
Any move that crosses the line between civil disobedience and disobeying the law must be done carefully and with great care, respecting the Constitution in all ways. It would be the height of hypocrisy for a Constitutional movement to violate its very reason for existence.
On a new Constitutional convention:
Article V: "The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided... that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate."
Given the wording of Article V I would place a Constitutional convention at the bottom of possible remedies to our current situation. The wording in Article 5 leaves it to Congress as to the mode of ratification and the possibility of a “runaway” convention is very real. In other words, the reasons patriots might call a convention could be hijacked and the Constitution itself changed and not for the better. Let us leave this option alone for now.
Since this portion of the pamphlet is miscellaneous thoughts about our Republic I have a few others:
Since Islam is more of a cultist cruel system of government than it is a religion, and they have made very public their desire to overthrow our Constitution—why do we afford them the protection of the 1st Amendment? Being a Republic doesn’t mean we have to be stupid.
And the systematic gutting of our military and the dismantling of our nuclear deterrent is another symptom of the decline of our nation and must end.
Our schools must be returned to local control and our colleges purged of statists.
A final thought
I pray that this nation survives because the cause of freedom in the world relies in great measure upon us. But as was said before, if there is to be trouble, let it be now in my day, that my children and grand children may live in peace. Evil has always hunted the free man, but by the grace of Almighty God, in America free men are the hunters.
God bless you my fellow citizens and patriots. May God heal this great nation and if not, may He grant His grace to us on the field of battle.
