All the Power in the Universe in one name--But we can't say it
There
are many religions in the world today such as:
Baha'i, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism,
Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, Wicca, Zoroastrianism, and Druidism and it is politically
correct and acceptable to mention them or their “prophets” such as Buddha, Mohammed, Hare Krishna and even Ron Hubbard.
You may say “God” because God is generic and can basically mean the “God” of any religion. But when the word Jesus is uttered the whole world will come crashing down on you. Why is this?
I wanted this article to be a non-religious examination of this question. But when writing about Jesus you simply cannot be secular. Though the name of Jesus is mentioned many times before this I believe that one of the most profound verses of the Bible that talk about the power associated with Jesus name is in this verse:
Philippians 2:9-11God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
In other words, even the mention of the name of Jesus invokes in us an almost instinctive desire to bow our knee. The name Jesus also convicts. When we hear the name of Jesus we are reminded that we are not perfect and that conviction is the whispering of the Holy Spirit in our ear.
John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
And this makes people---uncomfortable. People don’t want to be reminded of their sins and they will do what they must to remove any mention of Jesus anywhere. The sad part about this is that the people that hate the word Jesus are probably the ones that need to hear it the most.
Something else that makes saying Jesus politically incorrect:
Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
You can’t get to Heaven without Jesus? This means that all the other religions are wrong and that is politically incorrect to say. It is what they call divisive and non-inclusive.
I believe that it is ok with the world for you to say any name associated with any other religion, except Christianity, because they know there is no power in it. But they know deep inside that the mere mention of Jesus name causes the Heavens and the Earth, and all the creatures contained in them, to tremble.
It is difficult to fight anti Jesus attitudes but not impossible. The first way is to simply say it. Don’t be afraid to use His name and don’t be afraid of the condemnation you might receive.
Ephesians 6:13-18
The verse above gives a description of the spiritual armor God gives us. We are to stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and by praying in the Spirit.
But what do we do with this Spiritual Armor? We are to speak the truth against Satan’s lies. We are to rest in the fact that we are declared righteous because of Christ’s sacrifice for us. We are to proclaim the gospel and the name of Jesus no matter how much resistance we receive.
Ultimately the name of Jesus will be on every tongue. Let’s decide now that His name will be on our tongue at every opportunity.
